GReddy Manual Turbo Timer
|
Basic installation of the turbo timer is very easy, if you buy the wiring harness. I would definitely
recommend doing so. You will pay an extra 15$ or so, but it will save you quite a bit of time.
The basic installation leaves you without your stock alarm system. To get this working, that is where
the hacking begins. Take an inline fuse holder, and crimp spade connectors onto each end. The spades
should be the same size as the blade of a fuse. Pull the cover off of the driver's side fuse box - it
is just to the left of the clutch pedal. Pull the fuse marked "gauges" (the fuse box cover is labeled
in case you dont know which fuse that is) and put one end of the inline fuse into the lower slot. The
other end of the inline fuse goes into the lower slot of the bottom left-hand corner fuse hole.
I will see if I can get some pictures posted. It is much less complicated than it sounds.
The turbo timer was moved recently, to a Blitz single din panel that resides below my stereo.
This is a MUCH better place for it. From time to time, I would hit the TT with my foot/knee
while getting it and out of the car. I will try to get a good picture of the new install up.

I would occasionally kick the turbo timer when getting in and out of the car, so I decided to move it to
the center console. It is sitting in a Blitz din panel. The slots that are pre-cut in the Blitz panel
are too small. I used my dremel tool to open them up a bit and the GReddy timer fit just fine. Once I
get a gauge in there, I will use the supplied adhesive vinyl to cover the front of the panel and make it
look nicer. Incidentally, with my aftermarket deck there was no way to bolt the panel in place. I have
it wedged in there and it has yet to fall or rattle during normal operation.
